Box Tops

Keep collecting box tops because the next contest has already started! The deadline for second trimester submission is February 25th. Get your box top sheets by clicking on Box Tops and turn in completed sheets with unexpired box tops to your classroom. Please make sure all Box Tops are taped or glued to an official Box Top collection form. The winning class will receive a smoothie party!!

Spreebird Teacher Contest

Contest forms will be sent home the week of January 23rd. Classes who return 80% of the completed Spreebird contest forms win a $50 Amazon gift card that can be used to purchase class supplies! Plus, Carrillo earns $1 for each person who signs up. Contest runs now through February 6. You may also sign up for the contest at www.spreebird.com/schools and your child’s class will receive credit.

Be a part of our new program at Carrillo. Encourage your child to submit copies of written class work he or she is proud of, or original creative writing from home. Everything from stories to jokes are accepted, from students of all grade levels. Writing prompts are on the site as well! Writing may be turned in to the Authors Box in the front office, to the Authors Envelopes now in every classroom, or online to carrilloauthors@gmail.com Check out the new site

5th Grade Parent Information Night

An administrator from San Elijo Middle School will be in the cafeteria to provide information and answer questions about your child's transition to middle school. The meeting will be held on April 5th and will start at 6pm in our cafeteria.

Do You Know About Leo Carrillo Park?

Want an alternative to waiting in line to pick up? Head on over to the Leo Carrillo Park, and pick up your child there. The park is open Tues. - Friday, and it is only a two minute walk for kids to get to the parking lot via our back gate. It will definitely be a good alternative to our parking lot. And on Mondays, you can still pick up by the community pool, just outside the Leo Carrillo Park main gate. Save time, save energy, give it a try!
